About the Author
Denny Strecker teaches children the Life Skills necessary to lead a happy and successful life so that their parents NEVER have to wonder or worry about them. He has helped thousands of children earn better grades, learn how to lead a group, and how to set and reach goals that others only dream about. Denny owns and operates his karate school for the past 25 years which is located in Troy Michigan. He has hundreds of students come to his classes weekly to work on their Life Skills and Development so they can do better in school and prepare for the real world. Denny has spent the past 25 years studying child development and how to become the best teacher. Thousands of hours studying neuroscience, age specific training, age appropriate development and game theory. He has used his classroom as his laboratory to see what things work (and what things don't work) hundreds of times to get the best results possible. Things that worked, he used again. Things that did not, got thrown out. Today, he has the most effective teaching system available for children ages 4 to 15. Denny is originally from Troy, Michigan and it was a great day when he was able to move his karate school back to his hometown in 2014. He has a Golden doodle named Yoshi who is his best friend and they hang out on the couch and watch movies and spend a lot of time at the park playing. Ok I literally had a very hard time reading this book in the first chapter the 2nd paragraph the sentence is grammatically incorrect. It bothered me but I thought ok one mistake I'll look over it. Turned the page and another and another and another. Words are left out of sentences, incomplete thoughts and no direction. It feels like this book was the brain storm and the final will never come. NO HELP AT ALL! DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!! I wish i could return it! No way it was a "No.1 best seller", on what list?!
I have already read this book twice. I am a grandparent and wish I would have had this book when raising my two boys. As always, Denny Strecker has done an absolutely fabulous job.This book has so many wise and educated ideas that really work. I wish every parent at our school had one of these books. My grandson has even started reading the book.
Great read whether dealing with children or grandchildren. Everyone wants their loved ones filled with self confidence. Excited to apply in own life.

Great addition to your child's development.
This is the biggest rip off book I have ever bought! HA!! I can't believe I fell for this book - I so wanted it to be amazing that I paid no attention to the fact that the "No. 1 Bestseller" badge has no source. There is no information in this book, and the grammar is really bad. I'm pretty sure it's one of the many fake author books from China that use a translator and google to put something together. Some examples for the uselessness of this book: Chapter 1. Teach don't just expect (example - teach your kid how to make their bed - no details, just teach them to make their bed if they don't know how). There's also an assignment for each chapter. Chapter one's assignment? Make their bed! Verbatim assignment from the book: "Week 1 - Make the bed and have your child. Week 2 - Make the bed by having your child tell you what to do step by step. Week 3- Watch your child make the bed. Week 4 - Have your child make the bed and have you check it when they believe it is done correctly. (This chapter's assignment is the most detail you will get in this, book by the way). Chapter 2 - How to make friends - Step 1. Look the person in eye. Step 2. Smile! 3. Step 3 - Shake with your right hand. Step 4 - Introduce yourself. Step 5 - Listen and repeat! There is no other information or 'depth' on teaching your kids how to make friends (what happens if they don't want to be friends etc.. no scenarios, nothing...). Assignment for chapter 2? Yep, you guessed it - to "Introduce themselves to people!? Then there is the: "Advanced lesson: after your child is able to perform this skill really well, ask them questions about the person they met later on that day. You can ask things like: "what was their name?" "where did you meet them?" "what color jacket did they have on?... again, no other details...I essentially gave you the first two chapters right there. Just read the Table of Contents, and that's the meat of the book. I don't want to spend another second of my life on this book. I wish I could sue this bogus author for my money back, plus a free massage and pedicure for the annoyance factor of this ridiculous book. Example of the awful grammar (this is one of the first paragraphs of chapter one - there is no detail of who 'their' is, it's just strange grammar that doesn't fit): "As a parent, you need to teach their child how to doing anything, you can't just expect them to do it." RUN...read the phonebook...read ANYTHING but this pile of junk.
