i bought it for my local library - everyone who enjoys hiking local has appreciated it.
Lots of good hikes in here. The directions to the trailhead are very detailed, including the GPS coordinates and where exactly to park, and I found them helpful and accurate. (Although the Mohonk Mtn House info was out-of-date: there is no longer a shuttle, and the guidebook did not mention there is a $21 per person entry fee.) The trail descriptions seemed to be mostly about navigation and the vegetation and history. I would rather know that the Norrie Point trail has a serious poison ivy problem than what kind of trees grow there. I would also have liked more information on the trail surface itself (i.e., paved, rocky, clambering over boulders). Hikes are ranked as easy, moderate, or strenuous, but it's not clearly explained why. They list mileage and elevation change, which is helpful, but doesn't give the full picture.
